Chicago Dentist Joins Local Sleep Program
Dr. Ira L. Shapira, a northern Illinois cosmetic dentist, has joined the Sleep and Behavior Medicine Institute.
/Dental PR News/ - December 31, 2005 - Ira L. Shapira, D.D.S., F.I.C.C.M.O., principal of Delany Dental Care, Ltd., Chicago, Illinois, has joined the Sleep and Behavior Medicine Institute as Director of the Dental Sleep Medicine Program and a member of the Advisory Board of a Sleep Medicine Center of Excellence. The Sleep and Behavior Sleep Medicine Institute is fully accredited by the American Academy of Sleep Medicine. The Dental Sleep Medicine program is a most important clinical and educational aspect of the Institute. Dr. Shapira's leadership will enhance the spectrum and quality of services provided to the patients.
Dr. Shapira is a former Assistant Professor at Rush-Presbyterian-St. Luke's Medical School's Sleep Disorder Clinic where he treated patients with sleep apnea and other sleep disorders. He is a diplomat of the Academy of Pain Management and a Fellow and former International Regent of the International College of Cranio-Mandibular Orthopedics. A member of the Academy of Anti-Aging Medicine, Dr. Shapira has lectured nationally at the Anti-Aging Medicine's Annual Conferences. He is a member of The American Equilibration Society, Illinois State Dental Society, Chicago Dental Society and the Lake County Dental Society's Waukegan Dental Study Club. |
